BBA Degree
For someone to move into supervisory and management roles generally requires a degree. Employees with degrees are sought after at various companies. The Southern Business School BBA degree is aimed at students who will be responsible for managing people, resources, and/or projects, including the management of human resources, public relations, advertising, promotions, portfolios, etc. in the private and the public sectors. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree is a registered and accredited 360 credit qualification.
Minimum duration & Language
The minimum duration of the Bachelor of Business Administration degree is 3 years. The BBA is presented in English.

Some of the careers a student can engage with this degree are as follows: Business Office Manager, Supervisor, Project Manager, General Manager, Manager in the Public Sector, Executive, Human Resource Manager, Business Development Manager, etc.
The flexible structure of the qualification enables you to select outcomes that meet the diverse roles and contexts required by a wide range of industries and the public sector.
The BBA should produce knowledgeable, intellectually skilled individuals who are able to contribute to improved productivity and efficiency within the organisation. The qualification is structured in such a way that it exposes individuals to a set of core competences to give a broad understanding of general and public management and the electives, which will allow for a specific competence in management. It will also promote the notion of life-long learning.
Students who obtained the Diploma in Management will be able to complete the degree in a minimum of one year. This is possible because both qualifications are accredited at NQF level 6.
Structure of the BBA
Major electives assist prospective students in selecting subjects according to their field of interest or specialisation. Major electives are taken up to third year level.

Registration fee: R850. Cost per subject: R990, except for Financial Management and Research Methodology, which are R 1350 and third year subjects which are R 1100. Second semester re-registration fee: R350. Prices exclude textbooks.
