When to register?
Southern Business School's official academic year commences on 1 March for the first semester and 1 August for the second semester.
Applicants may register from September 2010 for the first semester 2011, but will only receive their study material by November 2010. All registrations for the first semester 2011 close on 11 February 2011 and for the second semester 2011 on 15 July 2011. Late registrations will only be considered for the next semester.

Southern Business School offers a Study Week once per semester to our students who wish to have face-to-face contact with their lecturers. The popularity of the Study Week has increased tremendously in recent times. The study week ended yesterday, 23 April. It was an excellent learning opportunity and also great fun for students who mad new friends from all over Southern Africa. Included here are a few pictures from some of the classes being presented. Bachelor of Business Administration Honours
SAQA Qualification ID 71930, 132 credits, NQF level 8.
A specific focus on enabling competent global managers in Africa, and an emphasis of the practice of management work together to make this a managerial qualification of note. The degree focuses on the South African environment, while enabling managers to cope with the realities of management in a global context.
Advanced Diploma in Management
SAQA Qualification ID 79586, 120 credits, NQF level 7.
This advanced diploma programme provides students with applied, recognised, and industry-standard business skills and knowledge. It is an intensive course in advanced aspects of management and it has been specifically designed for managers and aspiring managers on middle– and higher levels of management.
Bachelor of Policing Practices
The Bachelor of Policing Practices (BPP) degree is aimed at learners who are pursuing management careers within the Safety in Society sub-field. It reflects the need and demand within the policing environment for officials who are/will be able to perform managerial and leadership functions with more complex managerial knowledge, skills and attributes of organisational processes and procedures contextualised within the Safety in Society environment. The level of flexibility within the range of electives will allow the individual to pursue further specialisation within the Safety in Society sector.
Bachelor of Business Administration
SAQA Qualification ID 59850, 360 credits, NQF level 7.
For someone to move into supervisory and management roles generally requires a degree. Employees with degrees are sought after at various companies. The Southern Business School Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree is aimed at students who will be responsible for managing people, resources, and/or projects, including the management of human resources, public relations, advertising, promotions, portfolios, etc. in the private and the public sectors.
