Southern Business School recently launched a non-profit organisation called Iphandezomupilo Educational Foundation. Iphandezomupilo means roots of life and it is the mission of the organisation to provide education opportunitues, skills development and research which is beneficial to all members of society.

The primary aims of this organisation are:

• to fund and create employment opportunities for individuals through skills based training programmes,
• to conduct research that will benefit various community devlopment programmes and
• to provide financial assistance to previously disadvantaged and needy students.

This is in keeping with Southern Business School’s mission statement to provide higher education in a framework where quality, affordability and recognition play a central role. Southern Business School is committed not only to offering quality education but also playing an intergral role in community empowerment, as well as contributing to research which will result in humanitarian relief and poverty alleviation within South Africa.
